NVR for Foreign Spouse of Bangladeshi Origin
Overview


NVR is a special kind of visa issued to Bangladeshi origin foreign nationals by the Government of Bangladesh that allows them multiple entries into Bangladesh and unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport.

  • Applicants living in the following areas may approach Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester for consular services:
    North East & North West England: Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Humberside, Derbyshire
    North Wales: Clwyd, Gwynedd
    Isle of Man and
    Scotland.


Who Can Apply


      • Bangladeshi National’s foreign spouse is eligible to apply for ‘No Visa Required (NVR)’ to travel to Bangladesh.
      • Applicants living in the following areas may approach Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester for consular services:

Documents Required


Following documents must be submitted along with NVR application-

  1. Print-out of duly filled-in and submitted online NVR application form, with applicant’s signature on 3rd page;
  2. 01 (one) recent passport size (45X35 mm) colour photograph with white background;
  3. Passport (with at least for six months validity);
  4. Spouse’s valid Bangladesh Passport including photocopy;
  5. Marriage Certificate;
    ** Document/s generated in Bangladesh must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [For marriage/ divorce certificate or document, the process is to get first attestation from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliament Affairs and then subsequent final attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs]
    **Document/s generated in United Kingdom must be attested by FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office)
  6. For any change in the present passport from the previous one, a deed poll clearly mentioning the changes and attested by UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) must be submitted along with application;
  7. UK Proof of address such as Council Tax/ H M Revenue statement/ OR Latest Bank Statement/ OR Gas bill/ Electricity bill/ water bill/( Not more that 3 months old) OR Driving License Copy/ OR University letter mentioning UK address.


How To Apply


Step-1: Fill-in Online MRV Application

  • Please fill-in MRV Application by clicking www.visa.gov.bd While filling in the form, please select No Visa Required (NVR) from the visa category.
  • Before submission, please carefully check the spelling & accuracy of the information you have provided. Bring a print out of the dully filled-in submitted NVR application ( with barcode printed on 4th page).

Step-2: Submission of NVR related Documents

  • NVR application(s) may be submitted at the Assistant High Commission in person or can be sent by post along with required documents and fees.

Please carefully note the followings-

  • Incomplete application or application with incorrect information or insufficient supporting documents will not be accepted. Applicant may be called for an interview, if necessary, by the visa issuing officer.
  • The Assistant High commission reserves the authority to accept/ reject an NVR application and request for additional document(s) at any stage of NVR process.


How To Pay and NVR Fees


Fees are to be paid to the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester.

The fees can be paid by either of the following methods –

  • Debit card;
  • Postal Order Payable to “ Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester”;
  • Payment may also be made by phone using debit card (only when the Mission official contacts the applicant/s).

Note that in no circumstances cheque/ credit card/ cash payment will be accepted.


NVR Fees: £46/-.


Submission and Collection


Service processing Time –
In person: Minimum 10 (ten) working days.
By post: Minimum 15 (fifteen) working days.

Application Submission Time
Monday to Thursday 10:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs (Except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays).
Friday 10:00 hrs – 12:30 hrs (Except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays).

Service Collection Time in-Person
Tuesday and Friday 15:30 hrs – 17:000 hrs (Except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays).

To receive the passport BY POST applicants are requested to bring a Prepaid Next Day Special/ Recorded Delivery Return Envelope during submission of the applications.
