    • Applicants living in the following areas may approach Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester for consular services:
      North & North West England: Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, Derbyshire,
      North Wales: Clwyd, Gwynedd,
      Isle of Man and
      Scotland.


Who Can Apply


      • Bangladeshi origin UK/ EU nationals and their children.
      • Applicants living in the following areas may approach Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester for consular services:

Documents Required


  1. Required documents of the deceased:
    1. Filled in Death Registration Application;
    2. Bangladeshi Passport of the deceased;
    3. 2 ( two) passport size photographs of the deceased;
    4. Death/ Medical certificate of competent authorities attested by FCO.
  2. Required documents of the informant/ applicant:

    1. Valid passport copy;
    2. Proof of relationship with the deceased;
    3. 1 (one) passport size photograph;
    4. UK Proof of address [either one of Council Tax/ H M Revenue statement / Latest Bank Statement/ Utility Bill (Gas bill/ Electricity bill/ Water bill) not more than 3 months old/ Driving License].


How To Apply


Please fill-in and print the Birth Registration Certificate application form and sign at the designated area. In case of children who can’t sign, either parent can sign on his/her behalf.

The application may be submitted in person at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester or else may be sent by post. Before sending the application by post, please ensure that all the requirements are fulfilled. Incomplete application will not be accepted and sent back to the applicant.

The applicant(s) wish to receive their document(s) BY POST is/are requested to bring Prepaid Next Day Special Delivery Return Envelope during submission of their application.

Applicants are also requested to visit our website www.bahcmanchester.org for holiday notice.


How to Pay


The fees can be paid through by of the following methods –

  • Debit card;
  • Postal Order Payable to “ Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester”;
  • Bank Draft.
  • Payment may also be made by phone using debit card (only when the Mission official contacts the applicant/s).

Note that in no circumstances cheque/ credit card/ cash payment will be accepted.


Death Registration Fees


Application Fees:
Issuance of Death Registration Certificate (DRC) : £4/-
Correction in DRC : Free of charge.


Submission and Collection


Service processing Time –
In person: Minimum 10 (ten) working days.
By post: Minimum 15 (fifteen) working days.

Service Receiving / Collection Time:

Application Submission Time: Monday to Friday 10:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs (Except Public Holiday/s and Bank Holiday/s).

Service Delivery Time for the Applicant in Person: Tuesday and Friday 15:30 hrs – 17:000 hrs (Except Public Holiday/s and Bank Holiday/s).

To receive the documents BY POST applicants are requested to bring a Prepaid Next Day Special/ recorded Delivery Return Envelope during submission of their application.
