• Before submission of application for attestation, please ensure that

  • document(s) originated in Bangladesh is/are duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka;
  • document(s) originated in UK is/are duly attested by Legalization Office of Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK.

• For Signature attestation, applicant(s) must come to BAHC, Manchester in person.

• UK nationals, EU nationals living in UK & Bangladeshi origin UK/ EU nationals.

• Duly filled-in and signed application form;
• The original and photocopy of the document(s);
• One passport sized recent photograph;
• Valid Bangladeshi Passport(at least 6 months validity) shall be produced as an identification document in case of the following document(s) attestation;
  1. Any land related document
  2. Any financial related document
  3. Photo
  4. Copy of Bangladeshi Passport
  5. Police Clearance Certificate

For Bangladeshi origin UK/EU nationals:

1. Bangladeshi Passport with at least 6 months validity or
   Valid UK / EU passport(at least 6 months) with No Visa Required (NVR) sticker/stamp;

2. UK Proof of address such as Council Tax/ H M Revenue statement / Latest Bank Statement/ Utility Bill (Gas bill/ Electricity bill/ Water bill) not more than 3 months old/ Driving License/ University letter mentioning UK address.

Please download, print and sign the Attestation application form. Make sure before that-

• document(s) originated in Bangladesh is/are duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka;
• document(s) originated in UK is/are duly attested by Legalization Office of Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK.

The application along with required documents may be submitted to BAHC, Manchester in person or sent BY POST. Applicant(s) wishes to receive the attested documents by post, must have to send a Prepaid Next Day Special Delivery Return Envelope along with the application.

N. B. For Signature attestation, applicant(s) must have to be present at BAHC, Manchester.

Applicants are also requested to visit our website manchester.mofa.gov.bd for holiday notice.

The fees can be paid through by of the following methods –

• Debit card;
• Postal Order Payable to “ Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester”;
• Bank Draft.
• Payment may also be made by phone using debit card (only when the Mission official contacts the applicant/s).

Note that in no circumstances cheque/ credit card/ cash payment will be accepted.

Attestation Fees (Non Refundable):

Service processing Time –
In person: Minimum 10 (ten) working days.
By post: Minimum 15 (fifteen) working days.

Service Receiving / Collection Time:

Application Submission Time: Monday to Friday 10:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs (Except Public Holiday/s and Bank Holiday/s).

Service Delivery Time for the Applicant in Person: 

Tuesday and Friday 15:30 hrs – 17:000 hrs (Except Public Holiday/s and Bank Holiday/s).

To receive the documents BY POST applicants are requested to bring a Prepaid Next Day Special/ recorded Delivery Return Envelope during submission of their application.
